Summary
Pulsefront stores only the data needed to provide player profiles, private rooms, ranked matchmaking, and a leaderboard. It has no analytics SDK, no location tracking, no access to your contacts, and no in-game chat. It shows advertising supplied by Google AdMob, described below.
Data we process
- Your chosen player name, your chosen avatar, and a randomly generated player ID.
- PvP rating, wins, losses, scores, and completed match results.
- Temporary room codes, game actions, connection status, and security/rate-limit information while a match is active.
- Basic technical logs produced by Google Cloud to operate and secure the service, such as request time, failures, and network information.
- Language, tutorial progress, and a secret player token stored locally on your device.
- Technical error reports sent to our own server when something goes wrong in the game. These contain the error text, where in the code it happened, and the app version. They carry no player token, no player name, and nothing about your game.
The server stores a one-way hash of the player-token secret, not the secret itself.
Advertising
The game shows advertising supplied by Google AdMob. To do this, AdMob receives your device's advertising ID and technical information about the device and the advert shown. Google is an independent controller of that data, not our processor, and uses it according to Google's own privacy terms.
In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom you are asked for consent before the first advert is shown, through Google's consent form. You can change your answer at any time from the settings inside the game. If you do not consent, you still see adverts, but they are not personalised.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings, under Google, Ads.
Why we use it
We use this data to run matches, reconnect players, prevent cheating and duplicate results, match random opponents by server-verified rating, show the leaderboard, diagnose faults, and protect the service from abuse.
Storage and processors
The online service uses Google Cloud Run and Firebase Firestore in the europe-north2 region. Google acts as a service provider for hosting, storage, security, and operational logging. We do not sell player data.
Retention and deletion
Your profile remains until you delete it. In the game, open Player profile, then choose Delete profile. This removes the profile, display name, rating, and leaderboard entry. Historical match records may retain random player IDs and scores without the display name for game integrity and are configured for time-limited retention. If you no longer have the game installed, see how to request deletion.
Removing browser data alone removes the token from your device but cannot identify the matching server profile later. Use Delete profile first.
Your choices
Your player name is permanent once chosen and cannot be changed. You can change your avatar, delete the profile, or play solo and training, which run entirely on your device and send no match results. Every match against another person affects your rating, however the match was started.
Children and changes
The game has no chat. A parent or guardian should supervise play where local law requires it. We will update this policy before adding analytics, purchases, social features, or materially different data use.
